Transforming lemongrass waste to premium paper
Premium tree-free paper made from residual grass after oil extraction.
Lemongrass Paper
At Bluecat Paper LLP, we collect lemongrass stalks from farms after oil extraction. These stalks are rich in cellulose and ideal for making paper. We pulp them, press them into sheets, and dry them. The result is a paper that looks raw, feels sturdy, and carries the story of waste turned into use.
What Is Lemongrass Paper Used For?
- Invitations and cards
- Handmade notebooks
- Premium packaging
- Tags and labels
- Craft and design projects
Its texture and colour give it a natural, earthy look. Designers use it when they want paper that stands out without loud printing.
How We Make Lemongrass Paper
1. We collect lemongrass stalks left over after oil extraction.
2. We clean and pulp the fiber using water and mechanical beating.
3. We form sheets by hand or on machines, depending on the size.
4. We dry and press the sheets without using bleach or coatings.
This process uses less water and energy than traditional papermaking.
Why Use Lemongrass Paper?
- It is free of wood pulp, reducing deforestation.
- It’s strong and doesn’t tear easily.
- It can be recycled and composted.
- It supports circular use of natural resources.
Lemongrass paper is part of our commitment to sustainable materials that leave no harm behind.
